No X-Files Movie for Gillian Anderson

Gillian Anderson claims she has no intention of reprising her role as FBI Special Agent Dana Scully for another X-Files movie. In fact, when asked if she would consider a reunion with former co-star David Duchovney, her response was “God no.” This is a change from two years ago, when the project was reported to be in the works. Not sure what changed here, but it seems that - for at least the time being - X-Files fans are going to have to stick with DVD for their fix.

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has finally released the first season of Fear Factor on DVD. The show focuses on contestants facing their biggest fears for a cash prize (that is, if their biggest fears included eating gross fare such as worms and beetles).
Other challenges include being catapulted over 100 feet in the air, eating bull testicals, laying down in a snake pit, and “resucing” a fake baby from an underwater car. The winner received a prize of $50,000.
The two-disc collection contains the first nine episodes, as well as a preview of Season Two.

Teri Hatcher Tells Almost All
Posted by Abby Rose Dalto Categories: American Idol, Desperate Housewives,
Teri Hatcher is quite proud of her nipples. The Desperate Housewives star revealed that and other steamy secrets to Nancy O’Dell in a recent interview.
In addition to promoting her book about self-acceptance, Burnt Toast, Hatcher answered questions about dating and “crazy, wild sex.” She did keep some things private - despite O’Dell’s repeated reminders that they were just “girlfriends.” “I want to have sex but I’m not going to be specific with who,” the actress joked.
Other topics that came up in the interview were her rumored romantic tie to actor George Clooney and the photos of her kissing American Idol‘s Ryan Seacrest.

Divorced: Nick and Jessica
Posted by Abby Rose Dalto Categories: Music, Reality, Gossip, Rumors,
Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey signed their divorce papers this Friday, officially ending their three-year marriage.
Simpson, 25, and Lachey, 32, were apparently so anxious to dissolve the marriage, that they asked that their marital status be bifurcated. In a bifurcation, the judge will divide two issues so that one may be ruled upon before hearing evidence on the other. In this case, that meant that their divorce could be granted prior to ruling on the division of assets. The couple - who starred in their own MTV reality series Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica - have agreed to work out those details at a later date.
Since they announced their separation in November 2005, Lachey has been linked romantically to Kristin Cavallari of Laguna Beach, singer Natasha Bedingfield, designer Kim Kardashian (daughter of O.J. Simpson attorney, the late Robert Kardashian), and two former beauty queens, Elizabeth Arnold (Miss Kentucky USA, 2002) and Vanessa Minnillo (Miss Teen USA 1998).
Simpson, on the other hand, is rumored to have dated Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine, actor Jared Leto, Trace Ayala (famous merely for being a “friend of Justin Timberlake”), and Dane Cook, her co-star in the upcoming film Employee of the Month.
I guess we can assume MTV won’t be creating Divorced: Nick and Jessica anytime soon.

David Hasselhoff Suffers Shaving Injury
Posted by Wendy Michaels Categories: Prime Time, Reality, NBC, News,
Well, sort of. The story goes that he was shaving in a bathroom at a gym in London when he bumped into a chandelier – sending broken glass flying and ultimately severing a tendon. Oopsy! Hasselhoff, a judge on America’s Got Talent, had to undergo surgery for the injury and was released the next day. Talk about your freak accidents – what are the chances there would be a chandelier in a gym bathroom? Maybe not the case, as other reports tell a different tale involving a glass shelf that he hit after he bent down and stood back up.

FX’s gritty drama, Rescue Me has received plenty of criticism for its portrayal of misogynistic, alpha-male firefighters and somewhat insensitive approach to story lines. One example? The cringe-worthy rape scene in last week’s episode, which ended with Janet actually appearing to enjoy the attack. .
So, how best to rescue this show? Add a lesbian to the mix!
Rumor has it that the show’s creator’s are considering adding a new female firefighter to the show (Diane Farr, who previously appeared on the show, has moved on to CBS’s crime-solving math drama, Numb3rs) and that she will be a “lesbian or somebody who’s extremely capable in the job.”
I wasn’t aware that “lesbian” and “extremely capable” were interchangeable, but as far as stereotypes go, it could be worse. Who knows if it will be enough to redeem the show with female audiences—or lesbians, for that matter—if they haven’t already fled screaming into the night

The WB Will Air Classic Pilots on Its Last Day
Posted by Christina Furtado Categories: Drama, Prime Time, WB, The CW, News,
On Sunday, September 17th, the WB’s last broadcast day before it merges with UPN to become the CW, the network will go out in style by airing the pilots of several of its most successful and well-loved series.
The WB airs programming from 5-10 p.m. on Sundays, and it will spend all of that evening taking viewers on a trip down memory lane. First off at 5, will be the pilot of Felicity. Angel‘s pilot comes on at 6, followed by the two-hour pilot episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer at 7. Finally, at 9, the network will show the pilot of the series most associated with its initial success, Dawson’s Creek. It should also be noted that shows that are WB classics that will air on the CW, like Smallville and Gilmore Girls, will not be airing that night, which makes sense to me since they’re not things of the past just yet.
UPN has not yet stated how, if at all, it will sign off on its last broadcast night the previous Friday, but I’m sure people are just dying to see the pilot of Eve just one more time. Not that airing the Veronica Mars pilot would be such a bad idea, even though it’s moving over to the new network.
